At Anthology, we believe shopping for lighting should be inspiring and low-stress. That’s why we’ve updated our return policy to make returns easier, while protecting our ability to offer the best service and pricing to all customers.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging

Return Window

You may return eligible items within 90 days of receipt for a refund or store credit. This gives you the flexibility to make sure your lighting works perfectly in your space.

Our Guarantee

We strive to make your entire shopping experience with Anthology Lighting as convenient and hassle-free as possible - including returns. While we and our manufacturers do our best to provide you with quality products that are packed and shipped with care, we understand that there can be certain nuances with shopping online. We are committed to promptly accommodating your needs whether you receive a damaged product, or you simply change your mind. Please see below for specific return details.

Canceled Orders

Orders may be canceled up to 12 hours after order placement. Orders cannot be canceled after they have shipped.

Items Shipped in Error

Please check all packages upon receipt for defect and/or shipping damage (even if you do not plan on installing it immediately). If you sign for delivery and accept a shipment, we cannot be held responsible for damaged products.

Manufacturer Warranty

We guarantee all products against manufacturer defects for 1 year from the date of delivery. We guarantee all products against shipping damage or items shipped in error for one week from the date of delivery. 

Non-Returnable Items

  • Custom or Made-to-Order products
  • Items marked as Final Sale, or Clearance
  • Installed or modified products
  • Special order items include, but are not limited to, products with additional cost finishes such as black or bronze, modified brackets or mounts, and extra cost glass.

Returns Credit and No-Restocking Fees on Small Orders

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, which are offset with Store Credits, including all motor freight or expedited shipping charges, and extra shipping charges to Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico are non-refundable.

  • Returns Credit: On approved returns, the cost of your shipment will be returned to you as store credit, which can be applied toward your next purchase.
  • No Restocking Fee: For most purchases of items priced under $300, you may return the product with no restocking fee, as long as the item is in its original condition and packaging.

Restocking Fees on Large or High-Value Items

Anthology reserves the right to charge the customer a Restocking Fee on orders containing multiples of the same item, for example if you order 2 or more of the same items your order may be subject to a 25% Restocking Fee.

  • Full orders that include multiple quantities of the same or similar item (e.g., 2+ sconces or pendants)
  • Orders over $1,000 in total value
  • Custom, made-to-order, or freight-shipped items
  • Items returned not in original packaging, missing parts, or previously installed

It's important for you to test products individually before committing to a larger quantity to reduce potential issues with your project install.

To offset this, any restocking fee will be returned to you as store credit, which can be applied toward your next purchase.

This approach allows us to offer a generous return policy for regular customers, while discouraging bulk purchases intended for showroom-style selection

Defective or Damaged Products

Please check all packages upon receipt for defect and/or shipping damage (even if you do not plan on installing it immediately). If you sign for delivery and accept a shipment, we cannot be held responsible for damaged products. Anthology guarantees all products against manufacturer defects for 1 year from the date of delivery. We guarantee all products against shipping damage or items shipped in error for one week from the date of delivery.

Anthology cannot be held responsible for damage received during shipment if a claim is not made within 15 business days of receipt. In the event that you receive the wrong product, a defective product, or a product that has been damaged during shipment, please contact us by phone 1-866-540-6001 or e-mail service@anthologylighting.com to request a Return Goods Authorization Number (RGA) and arrange for return shipment.

Anthology Lighting will pay all return shipping costs and ship an identical replacement to you at no extra charge. Please retain all packaging material for return shipment or freight carrier inspection.

How to Start a Return Authorization

If you are not satisfied for whatever reason with your lamp or lighting product(s), and it is not damaged or defective, please contact us by phone or e-mail within 90 days of delivery to request a Return Goods Authorization Number (RGA) and a return shipping address. Please note that all items must be returned in their original packaging and in 100% sellable condition for credit to be issued. Credit will be issued for the full price of the product(s). (Shipping costs are not refundable) The customer is responsible for all return shipping charges. While we do not recommend a specific carrier for returns, we do recommend that you use a carrier that will provide you with a tracking number. Anthology will not be responsible for any returned items that have been lost in shipment. 

To start a return, contact us at service@anthologylighting.com when your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting approval will not be accepted.

Credit Processing Time

Please allow 30 days from the time you return your package for the items to be exchanged or for your credit card to be fully credited. Woodlands Lighting cannot guarantee a refund on items returned without an RGA number or without its original packaging. Credit authorization is contingent upon receipt of the merchandise in good condition.
